Lutra House, Isle of Jura - Booking Terms and ConditionsBefore You BookPrior to making a booking please contact Jean Hosking (the lessor) to make sure Lutra House is available for the dates required. The Period of LetThe letting period runs from 15.00 hours on the Saturday of arrival to 10.00 am on the Saturday of departure. BookingTo make a booking please return a completed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of £100.00 (per week of let) to: Jean Hosking, Pages Green House, Wetheringsett, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 5QA PaymentThe balance of the letting charge must be paid not later than 6 weeks before the arrival date. Failure to pay the balance on time will constitute a cancellation and cancellation charges will become payable. If the booking is made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date the full balance of the letting charge is payable at the time of booking. A good house-keeping deposit of £100.00 (in addition to the letting charge) is payable 6 weeks before the arrival date (or immediately if the booking is made less than 6 weeks before the arrival date) to cover the cost of any damage, the cost of replacement of items and the cost of additional cleaning. The deposit will be returned within 2 weeks of the date of departure less any costs. The Hirer's ResponsibilitiesThe hirer is responsible for maintaining the property and all furniture, fittings, equipment and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the arrival date. The hirer agrees to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found on arrival. The hirer will be responsible for all damage to or loss from the property or its contents which occurs during the letting period and will be responsible for paying compensation to the lessor in the event of any loss or damage. Number of People using the PropertyOnly those persons named on the booking form may stay at the property or use any of its facilities with the exception of infants under two years of age or by prior written consent of the lessor. CancellationAny cancellation by the hirer must be made in writing addressed to the lessor. The effective date of cancellation is the date of receipt of the written cancellation. If written notice of cancellation is received more than 6 weeks from the arrival date only the deposit is forfeited. If written notice of cancellation is received less than 6 weeks from the arrival date or if the let is cancelled due to non-payment, the full letting charge is forfeited unless the property can be re-let when only an administration charge will be made. PetsPlease note that pets are not allowed in the cottage. The Lessor's ResponsibilityThe lessor shall not be responsible for any death, personal injury to the hirer or any person named in the booking form or other person at the property or damage sustained to their property during the letting period.
